Fashion’s biggest night of the year is here, and its darlings have descended on 5th Avenue.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute is staging “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” as the second installment of September 2021’s Met Gala “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” And the dress code of “gilded glamour” left much to the imagination — but the diversity of interpretations seen on the red carpet reminded us to expect the unexpected at the Met.
