If you’re on #BeautyTok, then you’ve probably come across videos about an elusive “everything shower” on your FYP. The hashtag has over 160 million views (and counting), with pages upon pages of videos documenting different creators’ routines. But wait — what is an everything shower?

The weekly shower involves an in-depth process that essentially requires deep-cleaning your hair and body. That is, aside from the normal shampoo-conditioner-body wash trifecta of a usual shower, an everything shower features the basics plus some (OK, lots) of bells and whistles. Think of it as an at-home spa day.
From scalp scrubbers and hair masks to body exfoliators and toners, we’ve rounded up the products you need to indulge in an extensive everything shower that gets you squeaky-clean and ready for the week ahead.
Selfmade True Grit Resilience Scrub
True Grit Resilience Scrub
You’ve probably heard that scalp care is the new skin care, and what better time than your weekly everything shower to really show your scalp some love? Selfmade’s True Grit Resilience Scrub is a combo chemical and physical exfoliator that’s infused with adaptogens and anti-inflammatory ingredients to help reduce unwanted build-up and promote healthy hair growth. Section wet hair and apply directly to scalp. Use your fingertips to massage it thoroughly into your scalp and then rinse out.
Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Shampoo and Conditioner
Black Vanilla Sulfate Free Moisturizing Daily Shampoo
($13 each, Carol's Daughter)
Now that your scalp is squeaky-clean, it’s time to shampoo and condition. Try the Black Vanilla line from Carol’s Daughter, the beloved natural haircare brand that’s celebrating not one but two milestones (the brand turns 30 this year *and* just launched in Canada last month). This hydrating set will leave your hair soft and smooth. Bonus: the scent is truly addictive.
The final hair step is, of course, a hydrating mask. To seal in moisture and start your week with healthy-looking, repaired hair, turn to Kerasilk’s Recovery Mask. It’s infused with
Biomimetic Silk and Hyaloveil, a bioengineered and modified hyaluronic acid that adheres to hair’s surface, making it look and feel smoother and more hydrated, and acting as a protective shield for your strands.
Women's Razor Starter Kit
While you let your hair mask sit for at least five minutes, you can move onto the body portion of your everything shower. Just launched in Canada (at Walmart and Shoppers Drug Mart), Billie (a.k.a. “the internet’s favourite razor”) is a five-blade razor encased in 360º of aloe shave soap. The ergonomic handle is made with a matte rubber back and comes in fun colours. You also get a magnetic holder with your purchase, to keep your razor on the shower wall. What’s not to love?
Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash
Deep Moisture Body Wash
First, the basics. Nothing makes us look forward to a long, hot shower more than a body wash we love, and Dove’s newly reformulated Deep Moisture Body Wash is a must-have. Featuring proprietary new technology that continuously hydrates skin and improves your skin’s moisture barrier for a full 24 hours (!) thanks to millions of moisturizing microdroplets, Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash visibly reduces dryness by 50 per cent after each wash. Those are numbers we can get behind.
Naturopathica Manuka Honey Shower Body Exfoliator
Scrub away dead skin cells with Naturopathica’s just-launched body exfoliator. Formulated with manuka honey at its core, the vitamin and antioxidant-rich blend is just what you need to scrub away impurities and clogged pores before moving onto the next step.
So Supple Organics Body Slush Foaming Whipped Sugar Scrub
Dealing with unwanted texture due to keratosis pilaris or maybe just extra-dry skin post-winter? Try this combo exfoliator-meets-body moisturizer from Toronto-based brand, So Supple Organics. It’s formulated with organic shea and mango butters to nourish your skin, while cane sugar takes care of the exfoliation. Sure, this may be an ‘everything shower’ but that doesn’t mean you can’t multitask.
Nudebody Resurfacing Body Toner
And with that, you’re officially out of the shower! Beloved “no makeup makeup” brand, Nudestix, has just made its first foray into the world of body care, with the launch of Nudebody. One of its first launches is the Resurfacing Body Toner, formulated with 10 per cent AHA (five per cent glycolic acid, five per cent lactic acid, 0.5 per cent salicylic acid, and one per cent fruit acid complex exfoliating solution, to be exact). The toner gently exfoliates to smooth rough texture, brighten dull, uneven skin, reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, as well as slough away bumps and blemishes caused by sweat and clogged pores.
Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Firmeza Firming & Debloating Body Oil
Now that you’ve sloughed away dead skin cells and unclogged your pores with a toner, it’s time to add moisture back into your skin. What better way to do that than with Sol de Janeiro’s new Bum Bum Firmeza Firming & Debloating Body Oil, featuring the iconic scent that everyone knows and loves? Slather it on and indulge in a quick body massage while you’re at it (you’ve earned it; everything showers are hard work, after all) for smoother, softer, and tighter-looking skin.
