Avengers: Infinity War: The Women of Marvel Stole the Show on the Red Carpet

The ladies of MCU killed it and I am crying!

Last night’s world premiere of Avengers: Infinity War marked the culmination of 10 years (and 18 films) of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and let me just say that the women of Marvel absolutely knocked it out of the park. (Yes, I watched the whole thing via YouTube livestream on my couch while still in my gym clothes.)

While actors on the “purple” carpet—from Scarlett Johansson to Danai Gurira, and Laura Harrier to Pom Klementieff—were incredibly hush-hush when questioned about anything that could result in major spoilers for the highly-anticipated film, there was no shortage of exceptional sartorial moments.

Black Panther’s Letitia Wright opted for a purple, double-breasted Prada pantsuit and tulle top. “It was important for me to align Letitia with a designer who represents strong women,” Wright’s stylist Ade Samuel told Vogue.

Although not slated to appear in Infinity War, Academy Award-winner Brie Larson (who’s playing Captain Marvel in her namesake film next year) arrived in a sleek white Carolina Herrera bridal (yes, BRIDAL) gown.

Gwyneth Paltrow, who let slip that she’s never actually watched an Avengers film (for shame, GP!) and even managed to plug in Goop during an interview, arrived in a mini sequin dress by Retrofete, and former FASHION cover stars Zoe Saldana and Elizabeth Olsen arrived in structured, minimalist pant looks by Givenchy and Oscar de la Renta, respectively.
